Dig MX
When dealing with mail issues, it is important to start off with a dig mx on the domain
Ex. dig mx bowseranana.com
In the output below, you see that the mx record points to bowseranana.com. This means that as long as the domain itself (dig bowseranana.com) is pointing to the correct IP address (as listed in Bran) then we are hosting their mail. In other cases, you may see that it is pointing to another location. Common ones you may see would be for Google Apps or Office 365.
You may also see a domain that is pointing to a spam filter. These will vary depending on the spam filter, but this does not mean that we are not hosting their email.
